Not only is a pool table one of the extra items that a person can own, but it also needs a long and endless disassembly procedure when moving.

Pool tables can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Their weight and bulkiness make them a particularly challenging object to move. For these reasons, it is especially important to get as much help as possible when moving a pool table. When we strongly suggest hiring professional movers to handle all aspects of dismantling, moving, and reassembling the pool table, we know that this may not be possible for everyone.  Hiring specialty movers is not in your budget or timetable, it is possible to move a pool table with the help of strong friends.

Now we discuss here how to move a pool table without professionals :

1. Find suitable moving supplies and materials:

First things first: If you are planning to move a pool table without a pool table movers specialist,, start collecting your supplies now - start with the toolbox.

You will need a screwdriver, power drill, socket wrench, and plenty of thick moving blankets for safety. You will also need a staple remover to help remove the pool table felt. You can find staple removers in office stores like Office Depot or Staples.

Tip: The last thing you want to do is lose or confuse pieces and parts of the pool table along the way, so make sure you label everything.

2. Rent a moving truck:

Depending on the size of the pool table, you may need to rent a truck to pick up trucks or rent trucks from a reputable truck rental centre. Ideally, there are many moving truck rental companies to choose from when moving to a pool table.

3. Hire as many helpers as possible:

Once the supplies have been collected, it's time to assign some seriously strong helpers to help with the move. I suggest you choose at least four to five friends or family members to help. Make sure everyone has the right moving day clothing, consisting of a pair of sturdy sneakers. If the move is particularly complicated, connect narrow doorways or steep stairs, I recommend that you hire a specialist company to handle the project.

4. Measure doorways, stairs, and hallways :

It is always a good idea to solve any doorways, staircases, or hallways that the object needs to pass in advance.

In this way, how easy it can be to maneuver the pool table and its many parts through your home.

Also, be sure to open the doors and protect the floors and walls properly before you begin the moving procedure. I always recommend that you cover all sharp edges with a baby-safe buffer or thick towels before moving a large, huge item through your home.

here is the easiest way to move your Pool table.

5. Disassemble the pool table

You have gathered your tools and your friends and you are finally ready to take apart the pool table. First, remove the table's six-ball pockets by removing the group that holds them in place.

If the pool table pockets are tight in place, you should remove them with a screwdriver instead of a staple remover.

Then equip the side rails of the pool table with a socket wrench. After unscrewing the bolts, carefully remove each side rail. Store all screws and bolts separately and make sure each part is clearly marked.

Now it's time to remove the felt on top of the pool table. To successfully remove stapled felt, use a staple remover, and carefully extract each staple. Do your best not to tear or damage the felt in the removable process. Once the felt has been removed and packed away safely, it's time to cushion your pool table slates. So you need all the labour you can get to remove the slate of the pool table without breaking your back.

Most likely, the slates will go into a spiral, so you should plan to have a power drill nearby to remove them properly. When the screws are gone, delicately remove the slates with the help of friends.

Once the pockets, rails, and slats have been removed, you can move on to the main body and legs of the pool table. All you need to do is remove each pool table leg from the main structure.

To make it simpler, you may need to flip the main body of the pool table or billiards pool table on its side or upside down.

6. Protect all parts and load the truck:

Be sure to thoroughly wrap each part of the pool table properly in moving blankets before moving the game room to your new house. When loading pool tables on trucks, it is particularly valuable that you take care of the slates as they are very heavy and sensitive.

Once the pool table has been loaded into the truck, I suggest that you drive carefully to prevent objects from moving and breaking during transport.

7. Reassemble the pool table:

Reassembling the pool table at your new home can be delegated, but basically, you will put it together in the opposite method you took it apart. reattach the legs back on the structure with the help of friends. When the legs are attached again, count the slate and perceive it at the top. Then attach all rails and pockets. Of course, it can be difficult to lay the blanket on the pool table and keep it completely even at the same time, and it is generally best to leave for professionals.

How to arrange your important documents before Move.

How to arrange your important documents before Move.

Preparing for your move might feel a bit tricky, especially if you bear plenty of important documents along with you.

From house and car documents to contracts and receipts, these things often get lost in a sea of removalists boxes.

While you can just throw these documents in a filing cabinet and load it onto the moving truck, there is a good chance that the papers are greatly confused.

The last thing you want is to go through dozens of papers just to find out the document you are looking for. This guide will help you organize your documents in a method that makes them simpler to look for. Say goodbye to messy folders and a complete lot of headaches when you do this before moving day appear!

arrange-your-important-documents

The importance of organizing your documents :

There are a number of reasons why you should arrange your paperwork before making a major move. Here's why:

You avoid misplacing them - Most homeowners simply put the paper in a folder, place it on any moving box where it fits, and call it a day. The challenge is that these documents can easily be misplaced. You will have to unpack every moving box before you find out where your invoices and receipts are. To avoid this mistake, you should arrange your documents in a single moving box and label them, so that you know where to look for them.

This protects papers from being damaged - documents can only be torn, wrinkled or damaged during transit. You do not want to compromise tearing your real estate paperwork after unpacking or potentially have it wrinkled due to other objects moving around. Keeping them in a folder and placing them in a dedicated moving box helps assure the documents from unwanted damage.

You save more time - Moving is quite a hectic and boring task. The less time you spend searching for important paperwork, the more time you will have to assemble for the move.

Sorting out your documents :

Your papers should be arranged based on which kind of document they are. Categorize your papers under these document types to make them simpler to find.

Moving documents – written estimates, lading bill, inventory list, and moving contracts should be in this category.

Financial documents – tax receipts, checking/savings account records, income tax documents, credit card bills and loan papers should be filed under one category.

Property-related documents - purchase/sale agreements, vehicle registration paper, car warranty, insurance cover,  and leasing paper must be arranged in a single folder.

Contractual documents – any legally binding document should be distant from your other papers such as insurance agreements, employment contracts and financial agreements.

Personal documents –  identification cards, passports, marriage certificates, birth certificates and health information should be stored in an independent and available folder for simple reference.

Contacts list – when moving house, you should have a contact list accessible that consists of imperative numbers such as contacts of friends, relatives, emergency numbers, family and the contact number of your moving company as well.

Organizing your documents in 5 easy steps :

Sorting out your papers is not that challenging. These four steps are all you require to coordinate your documents accurately.

1. Start categorizing your documents and separate which ones are imperative and which ones are not. Old receipts and expired contracts should be disposed of to minimize as much clutter as feasible. If you are unconvinced of any papers, set them aside and calculate them again later.

2. Store documents that you require to connect such as moving contracts and insurance paperwork in an easy-to-reach location. Keep other imperative documents such as birth certificates, ID’s, and passports in a secure place where only you can connect.

3. Create an archive system based on each paper category. Utilize colour-coded folders or label every folder for simple identification. Utilize bright, distinct colours like yellow, red, orange, and bright green. You can also break down your papers and sub-categorize them if you have plenty of imperative documents to bring.

4. If you have the money, invest in a small safe where you can store all of your essential documents. A safe is your best bet when moving house since it assures your documents from damage and cannot be accessed by just anyone who gets hold of it.

5. store the files in a flash drive and Scan each document. It is imperative to have digital copies of all of your papers for backup consideration. You will never know when you need a backup file in case one of your documents gets lost, stolen, or damaged during transit.

Taking the time to organize your documents will go a long style towards saving you time, energy, and a complete lot of headaches. While most of us go into frenzy mode when moving house, it is imperative that you sort out your paperwork first. That way, you would not have to deal with the trouble of injured contracts, lost receipts, and hard-to-find papers after appearing in your new home. Singh Movers and packers Melbourne has professional removalists who can help assist you through every step of your move, from documentation to furniture removals.

How to Find Cheap and reliable Movers

How to Find Cheap and reliable Movers?

Moving is such an expensive event in life that not only requires a lot of effort but also a lot of money. Fortunately, if you hire cheap movers, you will be able to save a few dollars, but the process is not that easy. You need to research everything carefully to make the process easier for you. Check out the process of hiring movers at affordable prices as suggested by the moving experts at Singh Movers, the leading mover service platform in Melbourne, Australia. If you want reliable cheap Movers Melbourne Service, then contact us @ 0470315183

What to know when hiring cheap movers.

When looking for a cheap Removalists company, here are some things to keep in mind:

how-to-find-cheap-and-reliable-movers

How much do cheap movers cost?

On average, cheap removalist companies cost between $ 230 and $ 4000. Cheap local movers usually charge hourly rates with prices ranging from $ 75- $ 120, with a minimum of 2-3 hours; additional travel or storage fees for other services may apply.

Interstate movers charge based on the weight of the load, the transport distance, and the level of service required. Even for cheap moving companies, expect the price to be around $ 1 per pound for moving interstate.

Most rooms in your home have around 1000 pounds in household items. So for a 4-bedroom house with a kitchen, living room, and formal dining room, you can estimate that the move will cost about $ 7,000.

Additional fees apply if you want a full-service relocation including packaging and unpacking. To get a better understanding of the full price, use the quote form to get free estimates from reputable cheap moving companies.

Know the average moving costs

Of course, your ultimate goal should be to look for the cheapest movers near you and in your area. However, how do you know what is cheap and what is expensive if you do not know the average moving cost - the average cost that the movers charge for the job.

How much do local movers cost?

Local moving companies charge per hour. That said, the average cost of hiring local movers is $ 50 per mover per hour. However, the exact hourly rate depends on the local moving company itself, the season and day of the month you move, and your location in the country.

  • Moving out of a studio apartment should cost you roughly 55$ Per Hour including GST (1 Man and 2 Ton Van)
  • Moving out of a 2 bedroom home should cost an average of $ 70$ Per Hour + Gst (1 Man and 4 Ton Truck) and 85$ Per Hour including GST (2 Men and 4 Ton Truck)
  • Hiring 2 men and a truck for a local move should cost you between 95$ Per Hour including GST (2 Men and 6 Ton Truck)

Quotation and pricing:

Does this mover offer you a free moving quote? Are you willing to give them numbers if they ask for them? These are all aspects of finding a mover that is important to keep in mind. Singh Movers, Budget removalists Melbourne offers accurate and free estimates to anyone who inquires.

What types of cheap removalist services are usually included?

Keeping additional fees to a minimum is crucial for a cheaper move. While some companies may include these services at no extra cost, other companies charge the fee per item, distance, an hour, or another creative hidden fee. Be sure to ask the moving companies you are getting moving quotes from about the following fees. How transparent they are with the fee information tells about their customer service.

  • Packaging and unpacking
  • Wrapping/Packaging of fragile items
  • Temporary storage options
  • Moving supplies: drawers, tape, plastic wrap, blankets, mattress covers, etc. Be sure to ask about the necessary special boxes for things like TVs.
  • Dismantling and reassembly of furniture in the new house

How to find reliable cheap movers companies?

When hiring for cheap movers, remember to balance an affordable moving price with quality services from experienced and reliable movers with good reviews. Follow these tips to find cheap movers that you can trust to move your things:

  • Follow the recommendations:
To know correctly about the specific mover that if it really offers low cost and is reliable or not, you should talk to your friends or neighbors about their suggestions and if they had any experience with the company. You can also ask for costs that they charge so you can learn if they are in your budget or not.

  • Get estimates:
Various moving companies provide in-house or telephone estimates of the cost of reallocating. These estimates must be known in order to find budget-friendly movers. For accurate and reliable estimates, you can also request the movers for estimates at home.

If you move a long distance, you are entitled to a free in-home estimate if you live within 80 km of your moving company.

If you are looking for moving your home to Melbourne here is the cheapest way to move house in Melbourne.

  • Review the legal status of the mover:
Before hiring a cheap mover, you must also check the legal status of the company. The company must be registered under the AFRA (Australian Furniture Removers Association ). Even if the company has some insurance and is reputable or not.

  • Make sure all documents are ready:
The movers you hire provide you with a consignment note describing the agreed relocation services and the final quote. Make sure that this document is completed in full, with signatures from the moving company representative, before you sign.

  • Avoid signing an incomplete document.
a dishonest moving company could go back and change an unfinished contract and leave you on the hook to pay more than you negotiated.

  • Check the services provided:
The pricing of the removalists also depends on the services offered by the movers, such as the quality of packaging materials and quantity of items. Some removalists provide double packages for the items and others go for single packages. The former costs more than the latter.

  • Read genuine customer reviews:

If none of your friends and colleagues at work can recommend a cheap moving company that offers high-quality moving services, the best option is to access customer reviews and read what others had to say about the movers they had hired to move their belongings from point to point. A to point B.

Moving reviews usually come in the form of overall performance ratings provided by customers, plus a concise account of what the pros did right and what they did wrong. The idea behind consulting professional movers' online reputation is that hiring a reputable mover will keep you away from possible scam scenarios where a dishonest mover will offer a very low price to attract unknown customers and then will increase the same price drastically after household items are in their possession.

Remember that while you are looking for cheap moving services, you still want professionals to do a good job from start to finish. If you browse through removalists' reviews, you can preferably find the balance between affordable prices and the high quality of the moving services offered.

Start your hunt for cheap interstate movers by visiting three of the best moving review sites: websites: find a mover, Yelp, and gumtree.

  • Beware of cheap moving companies that provide estimates with low balls:
While some cheaper movers have limited discounts or promotions, all reputable moving companies are likely to charge interest rates on a par with their competitors, as they often have similar moving workers and overheads costs. If you stumble across an affordable moving company that charges exorbitantly low prices, be careful. This "cheap moving company" can trick you into a contract, only to deal with additional moving costs later, or they can run an otherwise shady and possibly unlicensed company.

How to move cheaply?

If you are moving interstate or locally, you have several options for having your entire household moved from your current home to your new home. Here we analyze the cheapest moving companies for choosing long-distance and local budget moves and examine the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Regardless of whether you move locally or interstate, it takes most of the work to move if you hire affordable movers to do the job.  if you want to move to Melbourne, here you can read also Cheapest Way to Move Melbourne.

What are the best moving companies in Australia?

What are the best moving companies in Australia?

If you are moving, we do not need to tell you how stressful it can be. But one of the ways to make it much easier is to find the best moving companies in Australia. These are the people who will take care of your furniture, keep your valuables safe and make the whole process easier and faster.

That being said, there are many options out there, and it can be difficult to know which one is the best. You want the price to be right without worrying about the movers being ruthless with your belongings. You want good customer service. You want reliability. You want reviews. It seems almost impossible to find everything you are looking for if you are not willing to do lots of research. Don't worry, we've done that part for you. Whether you are moving locally or moving interstate, this guide will help you find the perfect removal company for your next move.

best-moving-companies-in-australia.

Before we list the companies …

Although we will go into detail about some of the best moving companies out there, there are still some things to keep in mind that make the process of finding the right movers much easier:

  • Start early. Many moving companies require you to make your booking at least one month in advance. So you want to start reading reviews online (and obviously this article) and make a few calls in advance.
  • Make some preparations on your own. If you have given yourself a lot of time before the move, the best way to get started is by doing a huge inventory. Get rid of the things you do not want to take with you to the new house and write down everything you are going to take with you. It will really help when you get quotes from removal companies.
In addition, it will make you feel less stressed because you will not mix around boxes with items that you should have gotten rid of many years ago.

  • Read through as many reviews as possible and ask your friends and family. We will share with you some of the more useful reviews for each of the removalists on the list, but you should not stop there! Always read the latest reviews and ask everyone you know if they can recommend good movers.
  • Call for a quote. Only the removal companies themselves can tell you about the most updated prices, so write it! Be sure to tell them if you have particularly delicate items such as pianos or antique furniture, as this will be included in the final price. And many companies will offer to schedule an in-person visit to give you a more accurate quote, which is good.

Ask what the removalist needs from you on moving day. Some companies offer packing services at an additional cost. If you do not want that service, it is good to know what the removal company expects of you on the day of moving.

  •  Ask some additional questions. While you have the company on the phone, you can get a better idea of what the company will charge for and how they can handle certain situations.

For example,

    • if you are moving to another state, how can they handle delays?
    • Will they be able to provide the driver's contact information so you can call them directly on a moving day?
    • What can they do in bad weather?

An important question for you to ask a potential moving company is how their insurance is. If they expect you to arrange your own moving insurance to pay for accidental damage that occurs during transit, there is another cost that you must include in your total moving cost.

  • Listen to the gut. If you call a moving company and they make you feel completely unaware of it, it's okay to take that into account. A company may have all the best reviews on the internet, but if they make you feel less than wonderful, it may be an indication of a stressful touching day.

Let's talk about money.

As we said, you will not get an exact idea of how much you will actually spend until you talk to the removal companies to get a quote. But if you want an idea of how much you can spend, let's look at some averages.

In 2020, a report describing the amount that Australians on average pay for removal services versus doing everything on their own. What they found was that the complete removal service - including packing, transportation, and unpacking - cost about $ 3,600. Shave $ 600 off it and you get the average price for a removal service without the packaging element.

Obviously, this is a wonderful number, but it's not very realistic for most of us, especially when we're trying to move large pieces of furniture. When calling a potential removalist, be sure to ask them how they break down their price. Some movers charge a fixed fee based on how many items and pieces of furniture you move. Others, the vast majority, charge an hourly rate with a minimum fee.

Now one of the major complaints that you will notice when you go through the reviews of a removalist is that charging by the hour encourages workers to go slow. And we can see why some people may come to that conclusion.

But the truth is that most moving companies have several jobs to complete per day, so it does not make sense for them to pull out one move and anger the person next in line. In our experience, movers who take a little extra time do so because they are really trying to handle their customers' items with care.

But still, if you are not comfortable with hourly rates, it may be a good idea to choose a company that offers flat rates.

So, what are the requirements that the removalists on this list must meet? Well, we were looking for references, insurance, included services, good reviews, and transparency. Why openness? Well, a company that gives you as much information as possible leaves a bit to the interpretation. And it's always good to know what to get.

Let's go into it!

Appoint Tasks – Set Up a Move Committee.

Assign a dedicated person to help with both the arranging and the move itself. Setting up a Moving Committee can be advantageous as they won't just assistance you, yet will also assist other staff with the change. The staff is going to have lots of questions! So set up a committee that can ask the questions and also put your staff at comfort too.

Internal communication.

Make sure that all staff receives a relocation plan. Ask your committee to help create a detailed relocation plan! The plan shall consist of:

  • Move dates
  • New location
  • Items that every employee must pack
  • Details about the marking system - how staff should mark their boxes
  • New office plan with assigned desk numbers

Select each individual/desk area a number – the number given in the new area ought to relate with the new number on the new office plan. In this style staff realizes what to label their boxes, the removalists realize where to leave boxes in the new area and the staff realizes where to continue moving in day.

Recall that some staff may now have a more extended drive to work. Give them as much data and as possible about the new move. Have the floor plan and so on prepared for staff as soon as feasible.

External Communication.

Assure you let all clients and providers realize well ahead of time the date of your move, your new office address, and when the typical business will continue. If you have a skeleton staff working during the move time frame or are anticipating some little brief disturbances, tell your clients and suppliers know this as well. Give everybody a lot of notice about your office move and then remind them when it comes nearer to the moving date.

Leased Items.

If you have any things on rent, for example, printers and scanners, you will need to contact your renting organization and advise them of your move. The leasing company will arrange to move the thing for you. Your removalist can't move leasing things for protection reasons.

New Building.

Contact the facilities and property manager in your new building or apartments and befriend them! Ensure your removalist has parking and great access to the Entrance of the building to help spare time. If there is no on-location parking, you may need to compose authorization for on-street parking.

If your removalists will require access to a lift, request that the Property Manager assign a definite lift for the removalists on your move day. This saves time as the removalists would not need to wait around for lifts on the day.

Hiring Professional Removalists in Melbourne.

As with hiring a contractor, make sure you have at least 3 quotes from office removalists. Again, in step your moving committee - your knight in shining armor to help you with this! You want to work with a company that has plenty of proven experience in office relocation and good customer reviews.

Your company should be able to give you boxes and skates in advance so that your employees can arrange and start packing.

Professional Pre-Packing.

Generally great, full-service removalists will offer this service. While it is altogether acceptable to have staff pack up their own belongings, it is not advisable to have staff pack up the communal areas for example kitchen crockery and utensils) or computers, and IT equipment, etc. Take advantage of the pre-packing assistance on offer – it will spare you time and stress!
